Check all the grounds in the engine compartment. Particularly the one from the left side of the engine to the sheetmetal. Have you checked the hall sender in the distributor? Mine happened to be the ECU, but Darrell Boehler has fixed mine up. It's in the mail to me as I write. $100 charge seems very fair and he seems like a heck of a nice guy. midwesty@midwest.net is his email address. Good tech advice can be had at www.vanagonparts.com
