Subject: Hi again!
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

I've just rejoined the Vanagon mailing list after a long break and thought I would re-introduce myself.

My name is Tony Polson. I'm 49 and hail from Scarborough, North Yorkshire, England.

My Vanagon is a 1985 VW Transporter which has been converted from a panel van into a camper using Reimo equipment. It is a 2-berth home-built conversion with its original fixed steel roof, a full width "rock and roll" bed and basic camping equipment. The conversion was done in 1991 and I bought the van in February, 2002.

The van has covered only 82,000 miles from new but had hard use before it was purchased for conversion. It is suffering from the early stages of body rust which I am just about keeping pace with! The van has been off the road since November, 2002 after an electrical fire killed just about the whole electrical system. I am now finally completing the repairs (I work very slowly due to chronic illness) and hope to have the van back on the road in the next few weeks. I hope to tour the UK and Europe in the van during 2004.

I hope to learn more about Vanagons and perhaps bring some views of the European VW scene.

Tony
