Well, coolant isn't coming from the valve cover. Expect it is coming from one of the upper head nuts. This would prove the cooling system is contaminated. Resealing the heads will result in leaks at the next weakest point in the system. Perhaps it would last a few years, but maybe only a few hours before the next leak. New head studs and heads is the least possible compromise, and no guarantee of long term solution. This is the typical situation when maintenance has been inadequate to prevent corrosion from getting STARTED. The first leak is empirical evidence of SYSTEM contamination.
