OK, the title my original thread has changed - but I want to thank all for the input.

I do have some thoughts on the pop-top weekender and adding a water
 tank/sink/cabinet behind the passenger seat and utilizing a swing-out table to the sink and table are accessible from the outside.  But I must admit, I like my current Westy's swivel seat to read in and supervise cooking while tucked out of the way.

On using plastic boxes for storage, I'll add that low covered plasitc tubs that fit under the van are great - out of the weather and you can reach under the van from the inside and quickly bring one inside - we use one for muddy shoes, etc.

It had been interesting to see group defend their own stlye of van.
I do like the lightness of the non-stove model and there's less squeaks from all the cabinets off road.

I guess the weekender does allow me a little more freedom in creating my own interior (how about a removable slide-in cabinet with sink and perhaps a stove using middle seat rails?)

Right now, I'm leaning to letting the condition of the van dictate the style - but that's likely next year anyway - unless I get fixed on a model before then.
