I have been lurking for a few months now and recently purchased a 1985 Westy complete with third seat :-) After I got her, I ran right to the inspection station fearing the worst from the NJ DOT!! She did fail but only for the license plate light being out :-{ I was very impressed with the emissions, which were ridiculously below the standard! So after changing the bulbs, which didn't work, I pulled both housings and saw the connections were extremely corroded (one was actually snapped off). I called the dealer asking how much the part would cost. $33.00 per housing! $66.00 sounds a little steep for license plate lights! Does this sound right? If so, the next obvious question...where can I get it cheaper?

thanks! -andrew
