Subject: Water Pump, OXG sensor, and Sputtering still.....
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII"

86 syncro, I still have sputtering even after running dry gas, fresh gas and installing a capacitor, aaaaaaaaahhhhhhh ! I'm out of ideas? I know this van is capable of running fine. Symptoms I drive a few 100 feet down the road everything is fine and then it starts losing power, regains it, loses it, back fires, a bit of black smoke, I have to pull over, shut it off, starts fine and the cycle repeats itself. Plugs, wires are fine

The light for the OXYGEN sensor had been on since day 1, but ran fine while my friend owned it.

The water pump has a leak, the Clymer manual makes zero reference on how to change it, man is it tight in there to get it out, I'mlooking for the best way to drain fluid and get it out of there. TIA.

Andy frustrated in Albany, NY
