Subject: 90 GL auto from VA on ebay $950
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii; format=flowed

Vanagonites,

There is a good looking 90 GL with an automatic transmission for sale on ebay. Recently posted, no bids, can be grabbed for $950, full fiberglass skirts, power mirrors, tow hitch, steel wheels, etc.

Exterior pictures look nice, no interior pictures posted.

Text description is as follows:

"This is a 1990 Vanagon GL. It is an automatic and has the setup for the AC. It starts and runs fine in all gears for about a minute. Then it goes to a real low idle. If you turn off the ignition and restart it, it works fine again for another minute. Since it consistently does this, it appears to be an issue with the main computer under the rear seat. The van needs a right side indicator light, a speedometer cable and turn signal relay. The rear heating unit has been removed and bypassed. The AC leaks but work and has been switched to 134a.

The body is solid with only small dots of rust on the front under the wipers and on the edge of the footsteps."

Usual disclaimer, don't know anyone, no financial interest in this, but it looks like it might be a good deal for someone to fix up.

And despite seeing the lists of those who have 6-14 vehicles over the last week, I think 3 vanagons and one parts van are enough for me. And I don't like automatics. But someone who aspires to a fleet or is currently vanagonless should check it out.
