I recall seeing somewhere (I think it was on the Thule site) that the Westy poptop shouldn't be loaded with more that 70 pounds. I'd be interested if anyone has a more definitive answer ---- or anecdotal evidence that the poptop can indeed carry more.

Sorry no insight but a question or two. My 83.5 came with thule racks mounted to the pop top. How much weight can this setup support? Wondering if my rocket box can ride safely with 8 pairs of X-cpuntry skis and a couple of Biathlon rifles.
