Something to consider is no matter how well the repair is done. rust never stops or sleeps. It can be slowed down or removed but it will come back. I would start looking for another van.

I live on the east cost where rust is just a part of life. I find that if you get a clean van and really do your best keeping it clean you can extend the life quite a bit. That said if your driving it regularly rust will find a way to start somewhere some how.
