I wouldn't be *too* concerned just yet. For one thing, the whole "scalar energy" business is one of Tesla's wackier ideas and is generally regarded as pseudoscience. (Remember, as brilliant as he was, he was also mentally ill.) People who talk about "scalar waves" are usually the same people pitching perpeptual motion devices. A web search on the topic will reveal some pretty absurd claims being made.

A large eruption at Yellowstone is a worst-case scenario, and also the least likely. The chances of any eruption happening there in our lifetime, much less during a trip to the area, are probably almost vanishingly small. I wouldn't hesitate to visit.
