The esteemed Gnarlodious one spake ...

OT: Camping In Yellowstone

For the slightly more alarmist, here is a page that goes into detail: http://www.yowusa.com/Archive/Aug2003/volcanism4/volcanism4.htm

So I ponied up...

Wow! combine that with the "data" that there is a HUGEMONGOUS chunk of rampant rock heading towards our tiny blue marble and it's clear that I'm going camping tomorrow and I'm not coming back...well...not for a little while. Do note the overall flavo(u)r of the website.

To paraphrase Gene "the web is very like a large herd of elephants, unmanageable, unpredictable, and capable of proliferating massive quantities of excrement without warning"

So what shall it be, brethren? The firey ash, the cold rock, the enormous wave of dung, or Karaoke, the fifth horseman of the apocolypse. All are probably better than assuming we'll get beyond the present shrubbery. WTF is gonna pay for all that stuff. Guns, butter, cheap gas, foreign "aid", reconstruction for Afghanis whilst our backyard is awash in...firey ash, big rock, waves of governmental dung....you can't have it all. And if you could, where would you put it?

pensioner ( who very much enjoyed hissownself at the vanorama in sunny SF yesterday )
