The Dometic fan runs quiet unless it needs to be replaced. They get squeaky with age and then they stop all together.

How often the fridge comes on at night will naturally depend on how hot the air temp is. I often camp where nights are in the 80s and higher much of the time. My Dometic fan sometimes runs about 20 hours a day solidly and then cycles in the early morning hours. I replace it when it makes noise.
