<DIV>My wife is Brazilian.&nbsp; That said, her family is still in Brazil.&nbsp; Her dad called tonight because he knows my love for vw's.&nbsp; He found a very clean, mint condition 1962 1200cc Splitty green on white.&nbsp; All original interior and paint.&nbsp; Grant it, it is a Brazilian VW not a German made.&nbsp; Anywho, he is going to buy it if I can import.&nbsp; the offer is $1500 US dollars or $4500 reais (Brazil Dollar).&nbsp; well, here is my concern.&nbsp; Does anyone know if this can be imported to the US?&nbsp; If so, will I pay so much in taxes and fees that it will not be worth it?&nbsp; I want this bad, I figure if I get it here I will totally change out most of the Brazilian parts and switch to german made parts.&nbsp; Is this a good idea or what? &nbsp;At very least, this will be a vehicle for me to drive in Brazil when I go twice a year (it really sucks driving in brazil!)</DIV>
