Is this an American or European import - different rules for both. The 15 year rule is 15 years and OLDER from outside of the USA. US vehicles are a different story. There is no age limitation, you have to make sure they are on the list of eligible vehicles and perform the Transport Canada mods necessary before you can register it. -----Original Message----- From: Vanagon Mailing List [mailto:vanagon@gerry.vanagon.com]On Behalf Of Damon Campbell Sent: September 13, 2003 12:53 PM To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Subject: importation of an '84 into canada, and selling a different car?
Does anyone know what the best way to go about registering a couple vehicles in Vancouver, Canada is? The main concern is my '84 westy. Supposedly, Canada only allows cars 15 years old or younger into the country, which mine obviously isn't. What's the scoop here? Find a state to "live" in and keep it registered there? The other car is a '98 honda civic hx, which we are planning on selling very soon. Should we even bother trying to sell a U.S. spec car in Canada? This particular model was never even sold in Canada, i think. Or should we focus our efforts on Washington state? That whole miles/Km makes it a bit harder to sell up here, it seems... Any help on this would be much appreciated. Thanks, -Damon ===== '84 Westy (Sparky) w/2.3L WBX (wow... it actually works!) __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
