Around mile marker 31 is a really nice campground that is reasonably priced (for the Keys). Its on Big Pine Key, and is called Big Pine Fishing Lodge. Nice pool, bathrooms cleaner than my own. A bit farther from Key West than most, but an easy morning commute:-) We usually spend a couple days at the end at Jabours in Key West itself. Vastly over priced, but killer location...2 blocks from Sloppy Joes and Irish Kevins:-) For a snorkeling charter, I recommend the Stars and Stripes. Have a blast; my sweety and I spend a month there every winter with our '66 bus. Send me a pmail for more info. ttys, ...Markus |
