Shawn, DO NOT put the oil soaked clutch disc bsck in, even if you clean it up. You will regret it. The shuddering, chattering you are experiencing will just get worse. Eventually it will cause the seal to leak, and you are back where you started. BTDT!! Regards the o-ring, I don't remember about that, and I would suggest you contact Ken Wilford at Vanagain.com or Ron Salmon at the Bus Depot. They will set you straight..
