Those cars probably had one or more of the following: blue-tinted H4 bulbs in nonQH units RHD H4 units H4s in US-market lights lights misadjusted A proper LHD H4 unit has a low-beam cutoff and, correctly adjusted, will not glare. All cars here (apart from some 1984-1990 Japanese-market Toyotas) have standard H4s. No glare problems, even with 80W low-beams. No way would I wany glow-worm US lights!
