John, thanks for helping Chris out. You are right that it will require some effort. I am sure that Chris understands what he is asking of you and that it will take a little time to arrange. As for the seller, he/she has no business listing items on E-bay if they are not willing to ship. There are over six billion people on this planet and most of them do not live close enough to(or even know where) Marion, Mass. is to pick up merchandise. If you are going to sell on E-bay you should be prepared to ship the item, at buyers expense of course. Enough said on this subject, lets move on to more important discussions. Mark "
OK, OK, I'll do it! FYI- I e-mailed Chris, since I'm near Marion, when I found out they were seats, I did not reply - for I feel like the seller, that it is too much effort to ship. When I read Tim's response, I felt justified in not pursuing the e-mail and shipping the seats. But Mark is right - this list (and the type 2 list even more) is about helping people. Hell someone sent me a sliding door handle for free one time and another a professionally bound copy of the camper manual for some I copied and sent (Tim? in Brewertown NY). So Chris I'll do it, but I'll be a little slow shipping them to you - I will try to pick them up before the end of the week though. I wouldn't argue against Tim - he has a point, but I'll ship - Thank Tim for it. (BTW Tim, are you the guy that I sold a TR-4 / TR-250 toneau cover too a few years back who had Nokia snows on his Syncro?) John Marion? I know who she is! (We won't even get into the song about Masschusetts town signs with a focus on "Entering Marion")
Tim (who actually knows where Marion is), Get a life! People helping people is what this is all about. Maybe some people in San Jose think their time is too valuable, but here in Alaska we are willing to go the extra mile for family, friends, and strangers a like. We realize that there are more important things in life than the pursuit of the almighty dollar. Now I may not know where Marion, Mass. is(all towns in a metropolis are the same to me), but I know that if someone needs help that I can provide, I will. By the way, if those of you in CA want to get rid of your gov. Gray Davis I will be glad to trade for ours, Frank "The Bank" Murkowski. Mark 87 Westy Syncro 34yr Alaskan |
