Thought some of you might be interested in this. As some of you know I recently had the van painted. Long story short I had polishing swirls that were VERY visable at dusk, or at night when car lights were on the van. So, I thought I would do a professional job and rent a rotory polisher and so on. Well after renting and beginning the process I concluded the rotory buffer was just to big and sloppy for my use. So I stood there and scratched my head awhile and then had an idea. What if I take my small oscillating palm sander that I use for wood sanding and cut the wool pad to fit that? So tried that and WOW. I will never wax the van by hand again. I could reach 99% of the body surface with that sander. And my arms and fingers where saved!

Because I needed some polishing action to remove the swirls I used Meguiar's Cleaner Wax (liquid) which has a limited amount of polish action. And man oh man talk about polished....my wife almost broke her finger nail when her hand slipped of the door when she tried to close it. It's down right slippery. Yea, baby.

I would recommend this technique to anyone out there...it's a time saver and finger saver with fast, great results.
