And California is rapidly heading towards losing the rolling >30 year smog check exemption for vehicles. The Bill is buried amid all the other political BS going on here -- see http://info.sen.ca.gov/cgi-bin/postquery?bill_number=sb_708&sess=CUR&house=B&site=sen to get an idea of how screwed up it's really going to get!

Gestapo-like road blocks every 200 yards with the CHP acting as roving tax collectors for the counties. This state sucks.
