SB: $5K seems a little steep to me. Check out Boston Bob's website... IIRC the 2.1L with core was around $2100 plus freight...labor should be around the $1000 figure. With a few preventative maintenance touches thrown in like R/R all the coolant hoses and fuel lines and check the CV joints, etc. you should have a van that's good-to-go for another 100K plus. I did a Boston Bob change out for a friend last fall and it PURRRRRRS! Sounds and runs like a new van! YMMV. I have no interest in BB or his business...just impressed with his initial help, engines and his follow up answers to technical questions. -- Stephen* Chillicothe Ohio
