Andy: Black smoke means Diesel.

Unburnt fuel is getting to your exhaust system and igniting poorly there. The incomplete combustion leaves alot of soot in your exhaust and so it is black.

What do your sparkplugs look like? Tailpipe?

This only happens when the engine is warmed-up? Find a temperature sensor that feeds back to the FI or the ignition systems and check that.
