The "round nuts", or shear bolts, that hold the steering column to the dash can easily be removed with a pair of vise grips, no drilling needed. If this is the most difficult part of the job, the whole deal should be a breeze. I did the job about a week ago, and used an old post from the archive as a guide. I found it very helpful.
