I also have jobber bearings for all roller bearings involved in the sliding door at 1/2 the cost of those from VW. The door can be removed by one person. I've done it many times. You need to use a support like a milk crate to support the bottom edge while you undo all the hinges. Then once undone you can easily move the door yourself to wherever it's convenient to work.
