Phil,

You seemed to hit the nail on the head with this one.....after unbolting the ECU from its hiding place under the rear bench seat of my westy, I disconnected it and then went on the trail of the ground wire. As you said, it disappears under the counter and water tank. So I improvised...I spliced in a second ground wire and attached it to the 13mm bolt that holds the face plate to the rear bunk in place.

Put everything back together...put the ing. key, turned it and heard the fuel pump go off...started it up and it ran! Well actually I still have this nagging extremely-rich-at-start-up-for-one-minute problem but, hey it runs!!

Thanks Phil, and thanks to everyone else who put their 2 cents in.

Ric
