Sadly, the blue stuff is OEM only; ask for it by name at your VW parts counter: ZVW 237 105. $18.95 each at Boston Volkswagen, for example.

Without kicking off a religious war, suffice to say that there are divergent opinions on the wisdom and utility of paying that much cash for antifreeze -- some knowledgeable folks would say to use any "aluminum safe" antifreeze and change it once a year, not every two as the owner's manual recommends.
