Subject: Aux. Heater Problems
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="ISO-8859-1"; format="flowed"

Hey Everyone, Since it's starting to get cold where i live...decided to check my heat to make sure all is working. I have a problem with my aux. heater that is by the passengers feet in the rear. When i flip on the fan switch...i blow the fuse. Is this a common thing? Looked at the elec. circuit and seems fairly simple. Would you suspect a fried fan motor? OR a bad resister? Just though i would ask before i looked into this further. Other thing is...should there be a cable connected to the valve that turns the heat on and off for the aux. heater? There is nothing connected to mine...it was like that when i bought it...so if i need to get a cable well..then i will. And finally...how often do these heater cores go bad? I smell anti freeze if i flip open the valve...or is it usually the o-ring that is bad? Any advice would be great before i jump into fixing this. thanks everyone, jesse 89 carat
