My favorite rubber lubricant is Gojo hand cleaner (make sure it's the
plain, non-pumice stuff). Just smear it wherever you need it. It's slick as
snot. It wipes up with a towel and leaves everything clean to boot! And
since it's it's primarily water it will eventually evaporate complety from
areas you can't reach. Just used it this weekend to install an MGA windshield.
