I've done mine with bolt on rain gutters. The trick is, you must make a spacer block to go between the bolt on rain gutter and the pop top. This ensures that the rack tightening bolts won't run into the side of the poptop before the racks are tight. This option allows you to raise the roof with your load on. I can still push my roof up with two play boats or two bikes. Drilling holes in the poptop isn't a big deal. let me know if you want more details. Greg. 82 westy.
