This morning I received an attachment from "Microsoft Security Bulletin", an official looking memo (probably copied from a real memo), with the subject line, "Latest Network Security Pack". The gist of course, was for me to run the file which would install all the latest security patches for my system. Whoa! I don't even use Microsoft browser or email clients I saved & tested the file & it was indeed a virus. Name of file is something like: "Installer359.zl9" I have yet to hear of this type of virus delivery and wonder how many people might actually believe it's from Microsoft & run it. Sorry to take the BW here but my address may have been harvested from the this list. Anyone else? //Jack |
