Hey there, 1. Yes. Nicely with a puller. Not so nicely without one. 2. It sounds like it is breaking apart. Easiest way to check with little effort is to drop the lower covering, unplug the ignition switch, and plug that into a new switch. Try to turn the new switch in your hand with a screwdriver.
