What is the VIN - that will solve it. See: http://www.busdepot.com/links.jsp An F in the 10th character will indicate an 85 model year and a G will indicate an 86 model year van. The van was partially made in a VW factory and then shipped out to be finished into a Syncro if I remember correctly. But also a car or van assembled in July of a year could be for the following Model Year. That has been standard procedure for years. Model year and calendar year of manufacture are very different items. Sam
