Baking Powder? Did you say the front AC units are found in air cooled Vanagons? I have prowled the archives quite a bit and never learned that. What about the older bay window or Kombi vans? Do you know if they also had a front AC system? Thanks Owen Houston TX 84 Westy with it's 1.9l wasser sitting on a trailer waiting for TIG welder to return from filling his deer feeders. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ben T" <BenTbtstr8@AOL.COM> To: <vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM> Sent: Tuesday, September 16, 2003 2:14 AM Subject: Re: AC systems

There is ample discussion on this matter in the archives. Most people yank out the AC from aircooled vans to add front AC in their late model Westies. I picked up a couple of the evaporator/blower assemblies form used parts sources. I am using this for my AC in the Doka project. > > As I mentioned to you via pmail and also by my earlier van for sale posting, this aircooled van comes equipped with the rare Behr AC.
