When I replaced the calipers on my 85, the new replacement calipers where made by a different manufacturer. The short metal brake line hooked up to a different location on the new caliper. I believe I had to order new short metal brake lines and use professional bending tool to get them to fit right. I ordered mine from Rocky Mountain Motorworks.

Anyway, I'm thinking I will replace the rotors too, but I notice that I might have to press my bearings out to do this. Should I order new bearings? It seems to me that the busdepot has bearing for $25 a side to do this.

any thoughts?

And, I've got to look in my bentley on how to remove the rotors. Any tricks or things I should watch out for?

Thanks! Blake St Louis, 84 Vanagon
