Jesse, I did just that recently. A cut off wheel on a dremel tool and steady hands gets the job done. This also works well for rusted hose clamps but be careful of the fitting and if it is a fuel line.

Hey all, I have a question...is there a way to cut off the metal clamp/ring that holds the rubber hose onto the fuel injector and put on a new piece of fuel hose on with a hose clamp? I know on my type3 squareback that i had....everyone on the type3.org list said that you could...and indeed with a little sweat you could....are the 2.1 ltr. fuel injectors the same? They look to be...as far as the fuel lines go...has anyone done this before? thanks everyone, jesse 89 carat...with a clean throttle body and freshly adjusted throttle switch.....and finally a good idle...yeah!!
