On the subject of eclectic alternatives to commercial radio , please allow me to direct you to www.ckua.org

This Canadian station is a true alternative and definitely worth a listen. Unfortunately you'll need a laptop in your Vanagon if you're not in Alberta or Montana but if you're near your computer and want to try something different, give it a try. (evangelist mode off)
