Subject: 88 vanagon 4-sale $1,800 in Fl.
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII"

Is there anyone on the list interested in buying a 1988 Vanagon for $1,800? Located in Tampa, FL. The engine runs strong. The transmission is an automatic and shifts smoothly as well. Body is super clean with only a few minor chips and scratches. It has the factory fiberglass front and rear bumpers. The front bumper features an original Hanover or Hamburg German license plate and accessory fog lamps. The bus (including the bumpers) is painted a dark metallic blue (apprx 3 yrs old) that looks really sharp. The original color was the light metallic blue. New windshield and window seal. Interior is grey. It is the typical walk through with second and third bench. Rear seat folds into a bed. Seats are in good shape but the rear cushion (over engine) is stained. It comes with a sony CD player. Nice tires wrap around factory aluminum sport wheels. The bus is an automatic with power mirrors and A/C. I'm told the A/C needs a pressure switch to operate. The engine has a new custom dual tipped exhaust (no cat) purrs nicely. Why am I selling it? It needs some electrical work that quite frankly I don't have time to look into (When I sold my last Vanagon my shop manual went with it!). The temp switch plug fell on the exhaust and melted (the connector). The dash fan doesn't work. The One power mirror doesn't work. There are some other issues but the van is very clean. It comes with a front bra and a pair of roof carrier bars. The battery is new. My asking price is exactly what I have into the bus. As much as I love it I just don't have the time to work on it and can't afford to pay someone to do the work. It's a steal of a deal for someone who is mechanically inclined. If interested please e-mail me at vwdude1957@aol.com and put VANAGON in the subject line. I can e-mail pics.

Dave
