I got another bus. This one's a federal '82 air sucker w/sunroof! My granddad in Ohio gave it to me and my dad and I trailered it (along with a lot of other stuff from my granddad's basement/workshop). This bus is a sticky shifter with only 77k miles on it! The good news is my gramps put the bus away each winter. The bad news is that the bus, quite literally, became a rodent's nest. I do think that someone upgraded the interior at some point (though I might be wrong) because it has the front Captains chairs with armrests. It has the brown plush "herringbone" (sp?) upholstery in near perfect condition! (The 2 person center and 3 person rear bench are for sale BTW... pics available on request. I'm going to go with a custom interior with a total of 6 captain's chairs) With this being my first air-cooled bus, I've got a few questions... First off, I need the list of what fuses are for what. My fuses are simply number 1 - 12 (I think). Next, I did a compression test and cyl's 1, 2, and 4 are at 140-145psi, while cyl 3 is at 120. The Bentley says that nominal compression is 87 - 131psi, with a minimum compression of 73psi, and a max difference between cyl's of 44psi. Based on those numbers I should be fine, so am I just being paranoid for thinking that something might be wrong? Sean B.
