I just did this, flip the needle over the little post at the bottom, (so that it's to the left of the post) it should be pointing to the little white line on the edge of the face, if not, mark where it's pointing. Pull the needle off of the face, it's a little tight but it does just pull straight off of that post. when you put it back, make sure the needle is pointing at your mark or the white line when at rest.
