Disconnect the idle stabilizer valve. Start the engine and with your foot, keep just enough pedal to keep the engine running until it warms up. After warmup, goose the pedal once, the back off and see where the rpm falls to. If it idles properly, then you have a problem with the idle stabilizer valve or the idle stabilizer control box behind the right rear tail light. BTDT! Regards, John Rodgers 88 GL Driver J.
