Just when I thought "What the heck, I got $10…" It's called off. I wouldn't of even cared if I lost - I would of gotten my $10 worth just thinking of the road trip. What can you do for ten dollars?: Buy a pair of double (grande) mochas and a dollar tip. (but you can't surf - Starbucks wireless cost $15/day.) Gas up with 1/3 of your tank and go to santa cruz from san jose (but you could not park - that cost another $1) Treat the neighbor kid to an ice cream sundae. You could park at an amusement park (I don't think you can get in the gate though) Round trip on a commuter train. Movie for ONE (matinee). It may be illegal, I broke the speed limit (twice today). Someone's feeling may get hurt. We are adults - if you can't handle disappointment by now, shouldn't you know this and not gamble or watch sporting events. One person is getting the money not a non-proffit. How much money of the california (or any state's ) Lotto goes to the schools? (I bet less than 5% - but someone will correct me) What about the CEO in charge. There are a lot of problems with our society, I would have liked to let my imagination go to SE PA to pick up a van that I don't need and drive it home with time that I don't have. How many of us sold ourselves on vans that would go on road trips EVERY WEEKEND - yet haven't given ourselves one week away from jobs, home & society in a year.
