I would point you towards the SE corner of Ohio. Intense greater metropolitan downtown Appalachia. Also intensly beautiful. Get with Stephen Steele as to specific sights, but Megs and Athens countys are vast resources for how this country use to be. tim in san jose (ex Athens Ohio)
