Subject: Knocking engine after head replacement!!
Content-Type: text/plain; format=flowed

Lots of money and time on this. Put remann heads on our 89 and now at warm up whem motor is getting up to tempature it begins knocking. never did it before so im stumped. Mann filter, 20w 50 synthetic oil, AFC 1000, the works. Really a bummer. How can one tell if its a fuel mixture problem or rod bearings? did the spark plug wire removal and it went away but could it still be a fuel issue?( i hope ) its in number one cylinder, could it be better compression from new heads? there was a manufacturers acceptable crack. But what do you think? thinking about 2.1 liter from tiico (they offer one). thanx
