I went and dropped the van off at the local shop. There are two left in town (used to be 4 or 5), both stocked the cheapest clutch (Sachs not Luk) and one wanted $600-700 and would take about a week to work it in (they mainly work on new VWs, Audis, Porsches, and Saabs), the other wanted $350 and would have it done by the end of the day (they mainly do aircooled and 80's VW's, tons of Vanagons). Needless to say I went with the later. I told them whats up and what I thought the problem was and to check the input shaft and replace it if it was messed up. Hopefully that will cure the problem and I wont have to take the tranny out until I am ready for a 5-speed :)
