Why in the world would you want to do that. The hydraulic lifter was a significant improvement over the solid lifter, as it maintains proper clearance and tension in the valve train automatically throughout the various temepratures of the engine and under various loads and operating conditions, thus improving performance in reducing wear in the entire valve train. Additionally, unless you are running a racing engine and turning near 9,000 RPM where valve float issues come into play there is no added advantage.
