Subject: Sliding door skin unglued
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII"

Hey folks, got a weird dilemma facing me. I pulled off the interior panel of the sliding door to tighten the door handle screw. While in there, I noticed that the outer 'skin' of the door was separated from the frame of the door. The blobs of black "glue" holding them together all came unstuck. This explains the noise when closing the door, as well as a small stress crack forming above and left of the door handle. When I shut the door, I can see it bulge out from the air pressure then slap back into place.

I also noticed the same ungluing on my rear hatch. Could this be a product of living in Phoenix for a few years (melting), or is it just an old van thing?

So, what do I do about it? Where do I get this glue from? I could probably wire-weld the parts together, but that would kill the paint and probably get some rust started. I'd rather have a less invasive solution.

Thanks for the help.
