Ouch. Here the price of diesel stays fixed for long periods of time while the price of gas varies up and down around it. Diesel has been $1.599/gal for over a month now. For a while regular unleaded was up to $1.899 but it's down around the diesel price again now.

Diesel tends to get more expensive in the winter here, probably partly due to the different blend and partly because it comes from the same feedstocks as home heating oil.
