I always wanted to get some kind of simple light to see the keyboard on my laptop in the night.  I thought of something like what they have on the planes that you can turn and direct it around where you need it.  
Now I figured out what I will use.  I just bought those thin LED flash lights the other day and it just fits into the upper bed support's rubber folding, because it is really a penlight.  It is guaranteed for 100 000 hours on one battery.  That means nearly twelve years non-stop use, or a full life time if you use it a lot, like two hours a day or so, I guess.  
I bought it from a tool vendor, like those Mac and Snap-on guys.
It is always handy to have it around in the vanagon, there is no light in the engine area...  (compulsory vanagon...)
