Driving lights should only operate in the high beam, or brights depending on where you're from. For better low beam lighting you could try fitting fog lights which will light up a short distance in front and wil also light up a fairly wide area as well. How ever the down side of this is teh local law may not permit fog lights except in fog or rain. The alternative is to try and find the Hella auxillary low beam lights. I belive these are DOT approved. Hope this helps.
