Power locks either work or don;t work. Most of the time the problem is a broken connecting near the door hinge (inside the rubber boot). Lots of back and forth movement in there that eventually causes the wires to break from metal fatigue. The Syncros I have owned have the same power lock equipment as any comparable 2wd van of the similar vintage.

Mark Drillock & Larry (Hamm?) have both done the conversion. Mark has discussed his conversion at length on the list. Check the archives. It should all be detailed there.
